Copy of an e-mail I sent to Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) & Congressman Dean Heller (R-NV) 03/08/10 Regarding Nevada's Workers' Comp System:

I am writing to you today because I believe there is a serious matter that needs to be addressed by Nevada's leaders. I just completed a two year battle over workers' for which I lost due to fraud! I have 100% proof that confirms my eligibility, but every decision was made from a fraudulent report by a vindictive doctor (the final medical report shows this)as well as extremely corrupt workers' comp judges (probably received big checks), and my NAIW attorney Harry Ward! My employer called me the day after my hearing on March 2, 2010, to offer me employment at full duty and I informed them that I cannot type with my left arm anymore and that the doctor stated I need to be on modified duty. However, this resulted in them calling and harassing me for which we parted with multiple harsh words(I am not a perfect person with perfect responses every time, especially when my families lives are on the line)! I am filing my complaints against them today. Every step of my workers' comp claim has been a violation. I intend to bring all of this out into the open, and, hopefully, get changes made to the system! I already have five other people that have had the same thing, or similar, happen to them and I am on the hunt for as many as I can find!
The most important part of this is the FACT that the workers' comp system (doctors, attorneys, and judges, and the insurance company) took an injured employee and turned them (me) into a permanently injured, unemployed, and very angry person! And, when I get angry that is when I do my most damage (legally of course)! I am going after Andrea Tatro, MD, Harry Ward, Esq., Lorna Ward, Appeals Officer, and the two Hearing Officers through legal means, word of mouth, and every single other manner I can come up with to expose these corrupt criminals for what they are! People need to be aware that when they enter the Nevada Workers' Comp System they ARE going to lose no matter how much evidence they have in their favor (it's all about the insurance companies and money)! I intend to follow this to the end...whatever that means.

I spent two years (due to medical issues) getting my medical transcription certification (the state of Nevada paid for half of my costs), I managed to land a job in that field, I was an invaluable employee (I maintained a 99.5% to 100% accuracy rate at all times, knew the account specifics without looking, and was promoted at six months (uncommon) due to my performance! I was working on an average of 50+ hours per week which is how the injury occurred (my employer wasn't paying me a proper wage either, they were paying me $3.87 per hour, and I smacked them with a wage claim which I won with 99% credibility)!
This whole thing is absolutely absurd.
Again, the system took a hardworking, invaluable employee, and turned them (me) into a permanently injured (can't do anything about this due to statute of limitations), unemployed, and angry person.
Do you know how many people in the state of Nevada become dependent on unemployment and social services because of this very issue...I don't, but I intend to find out and make it public.
Please, if you really care about the employment atmosphere in Nevada, this must be addressed as the workers' comp system is turning people into unemployed people (many with permanent injuries that will prevent other employment)!
