Over the past several years, I, and many others, have required the advice of an attorney or a lawyer on several occasions and I could not believe some of the some of the advice that was received. I was equally shocked by what many of these attorneys and lawyers don't know. Attorneys and Lawyers don't always act in your best interest and they don't always know what they are talking about! |

 Diaz & Galt: 3I sought advice for a workers' comp issue and really didn't receive any advice. I was told, "you are already doing what an attorney would be doing, but I can take your money if you want me to." This person told me to keep filing complaints against my employer, the insurance company and the doctor with the Division of Industrial Relations Workers' Compensation Section and I would see results including portions of the fines if anyone was found to be in violation. That's it... keep doing what your doing and you will see results. I had that figured out on my own! However, there seems to be great disagreement over the 'fines' and whether or not the injured worker is entitled to those fines (I am still working on this issue)!

I dealt with this office on 2 separate occasions.
On both occasions, this office failed to return e-mails I sent them and it took 3 to 4 phone calls to finally get someone to call me back. The first time I spoke with someone, I told my story (workers' comp), the person laughed, and I was told to file complaints with the Division of Industrial Relations Workers' Compensation Section for the State of Nevada. That was that.
The second time I contacted this office I received really bad advice and the knowledge of the law this person demonstrated leaves me wondering if they really know anything at all! I was told that I really didn't have a case [Wrong] and I was told to seek a second opinion before filing an apeal [Again, Wrong]! This WILL hurt your case and should not be done until later in the apeal process [I know this now from personal experience due to bad advice]!

Total Incompetent That Should Be Disbarred and Tortured! To say that I Hate this person is an understatement! This guy is supposedly a bankruptcy attorney and, unfortunately, we hired him for that purpose. We should have done the bankruptcy ourselves as it would have cost less and we would have done it properly! Ahhh...I absolutely hate this arrogant pig! This guy is so unprofessional that he isn't even fit to be a clown at Circus Circus! When we were filling out the paperwork for our bankruptcy, I asked about putting my student loans on the bankruptcy as I already knew that I could and he told me, "you can't put student loans on a bankruptcy!" I then informed him that the student loans can be included on the bankruptcy but it would require an adversary proceeding. He turned, looked me square in the eyes and said, "I told you that student loans are not allowed on a bankruptcy," he turned to walk away and then he stopped, turned to face me again and said, "you are annoying!" How absolutely arrogant! I am annoying because I know what I'm talking about. Unfortunately, we afford to take our business elsewhere and there were some things we could not have handled ourselves. On the day of court, he was late, he was in old ratty clothes [he looked like he just climbed out from under a park bench], and he had his sick infant with him! How unprofessional can you get...really?!
A few months back, we saw this idiot in the courthouse parking lot with another client and he was wearing the same clothes, and in the same degradated state he was in when we last saw him.
Please, if anyone ever comes across this name, run like hell!

This person does not know what she is talking about with regards to workers' comp payments and she is absolutely terrified of any form of aggression [she won't accept clients that get angry...she must have something to worry about]! My TTD [temporary total disability] payments had stopped without any notification and I wanted to know what I could do about the situation. She actually told me that workers' comp payments aren't late until they are over 30 days past due. She is absolutely 100% WRONG! Nevada Revised Statute NRS 616C.475(3) states: 3. If a claim for the period of temporary total disability is allowed, the first payment pursuant to this section must be issued by the insurer within 14 working days after receipt of the initial certification of disability and regularly thereafter. I will never use an attorney that does Not Know what they are talking about! Run from any attorney that says they don't deal with aggression or anger. Who doesn't get upset from time to time where their lives and livelihood are concerned!

This person is a joke! He is an employment attorney and yet he does Not take contingency nor pro bono! I spoke with the receptionist and told her what my problems were and she said it sounded like I had a huge case that could potentially lead to a class action lawsuit. Then she asked me how much money I had and I told her...none. She apologized and said that it was $1,800.00 to retain the attorney and then it was another outrageous number per hour! She also told me that their office was turning people away by the dozens...no money!
I guess upholding the law for the laborers is too much for this person!

An opinion of this person is still being formed as I am still fighting my workers' comp case. So far, I am not impressed. I will update as soon as the issues are settled.

These people do not know what they are talking about, according to every source I have asked anyway! We had an issue with the Department of Health and Human Services and they refused to provide any advice because my name was on the paperwork, but they were harassing my husband which means that WE cannot be represented...What Flaming Idiots! I have spoken with multiple other sources about this and was told that the actions of Washoe Legal Services was seriously in error!
They should go into practice with Mr. Sean Patterson, then they can destroy people's lives together!
